Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.6
Hollow Lantern is a slow-burn adventure that trusts you to pay attention. You wake up in a crumbling lighthouse with no memory of how you got there, and the whole game is about exploring, solving environmental puzzles, and reading the story in the margins.
The atmosphere is fantastic. Rain against the windows, a flickering lamp, notes left by someone long gone. Puzzles lean on observation rather than obscure logic, so you rarely feel cheated. One lock puzzle near the top floor stumped me for a while until I realized the answer was literally written on the wall of an earlier room.
It's short, maybe four hours, but it lingers. Play it with headphones at night and let it take its time.
