Shaving seconds in Neon Circuit Rush

Shaving seconds in Neon Circuit Rush

September 19, 2026 · Jonas Keller

I spent way too long trying to climb the Neon Circuit Rush leaderboards with brute force, upgrading my engine and flooring it everywhere. It didn't work. The players ahead of me were slower in a straight line and still faster overall.

The secret is the drift-and-boost loop. Every clean drift fills your boost meter, and a well-timed boost out of a corner carries more speed than any amount of acceleration on the straights. So the game is really about cornering rhythm.

Use the ghost replay obsessively. Race against your own best lap and watch where you brake too early. I found I was lifting off the gas before corners I could've taken flat. Fixing that alone dropped two full seconds off my best time.

Cosmetic upgrades won't help you, but the handling tweaks on a few cars genuinely do. Find a car that drifts smoothly for you and stick with it instead of chasing the fastest number.
