Legends of Slots
Legends of Slots surprised me. I expected a throwaway tap game and instead found a surprisingly cozy loop where you line up symbol reels to complete themed collections. Each completed set unlocks a short illustrated vignette, and honestly those little story beats are what kept me opening the app on the train.
Controls are as simple as they come: one button to spin the reels, swipe sideways to switch between the game's different themed worlds. The clever part is the collection board on top, which turns the whole thing into a light puzzle about chasing the symbols you still need. There's a gentle progression system that unlocks new reel sets as you fill out earlier boards.
It's not deep, and it isn't trying to be. But the animation work is charming, the soundtrack is weirdly soothing, and it respects your time with short sessions. If you want something low-pressure to dip into for five minutes, this does the job better than most.
